Exclamation How LOW can you go??? Practicability of lowering

I have always hated the wheel gap that became painfully obvious after putting 17s on my stock 98 model teg with a mugen (replica) lip, and have finally gathered sufficient funds to get that fixed. Thus a set of lowering springs (most likely kings low or super low) is coming.

    Current measurements are:
    Wheel gap : 3 inches
Front lip ground clearance: 7.5 inches

Aim is to lower approximately 1.5 inches (2 finger gap) all round or more

However what struck me today was the practicality of lowering. My driveway is sloped, going to uni to park theres an inclination along with many (strangely large) speed bumps, shopping centre parking that are sloped with speed bumps . Worst case scenario would be coming home and not being able to get into my driveway!

So I ask, those with experience of driving a lowered car, how practical or a nuisance is it? How much can I lower before it makes daily driving much harder and finally, will I inevitably lose my front lip with a 1.5 in drop?

In summary, what is a recommended height to lower it by?

    Cheers
