Where does the power come from?

My guess is less unsprung weight at the wheels = wheels spin faster for less effort/energy = higher peak power reading.

If you compare a Euro with fat and heavy 19" chromies and a stock Euro with 16"- there will be less power converted to the wheels for the 19" car. It seems sensible to me.
