dc2r rear bumper removal - need help

    my car got rear ended...
    finally got bumper replacement...

whats the best way to remove / install a rear bumper on a dc2r...

looks like i have to get to the rear trim (bit under the lights to screw in the clips and the support).

do i need to physically remove the lights?

    anyone with a guide?

    cheers

? are you talking about the back panel where the brake lights are? because they aren't attached to the rear bumper. You will find some bolts on each side of the bumper bar underneath where the wheel arches are.
    blah blah blah

Have pulled the rear bumper off and on a few times on my previous 2 DC2s.

You do not need to take the rear lights out.

You do need to remove the rear trim which is held on by clips. once you have done that you need to unscrew a handful of bolts.

I dont remember if there are bolts underneath but I presume so.

Its actually pretty easy once the trim is off but you will need a socket (either 10mm or 12mm.)

    good Luck with it

I found it easier with the rear lights out.

    1) take out rear lights.
    2) u'll find plastic pins that point downwards along the edge of the bar, visable where the rear lights used to be.
From memory, i think theres 8 clips in total along the top.
Remove all clips along the top, u mite need a flat head screw driver of some sort to assist you.
    3) Unscrew the bolts on both the rear wheel arches.

After removin all screws and pins, the rear bar should jst slide off.

they run along the top of the trim, as soon as u open the rear hatch, it's along the edge. There's like 6 or so of em along the top, and you just get a phillips head screwdriver, poke the centre of the clips and they should come out.
They won't let me on the plane, cos i'm the bomb!
