no wonder the insurance are getting more and more expensive on hondas nowadays...

Reasons? too many idoits going for cheap tyres just because they want to show off thier 18" and 19"s big rims etc etc and no money for tyres....

Later and then gets thier car write off on a wet or raining day because the cheap tyres couldnt grip.

Mate, Tyres and brakes are YOUR LIFE! not your wheels and not your bodykit. your life is far more dearer then your 18's

There are millions of reasons why insurances goes up....just the same as there are more contributions in an accident. Mainly road, driver and vehicle.

I would consider most "cheap tyres" K-mart brands reasonably safe nowadays. If you follow exactly the road rules on the roads, speed limit, clearance distances and advisory corners speeds, I believe the risk of an accident is reasonably low. Most cases I saw of cars written off in wet from spinning out are from the drivers being stupid.

It can happen at safe speeds too. I was overtaking a vehicle in heavy rain. In 4th gear at 80kph - I throttle down and the front wheels started spinning. Had to abort overtaking.

Not a nice feeling at that speed (in a straight line too). Tyres? Falken 512 with legal tread. Never again will I buy those cheapo tyres. The Dunlop 3000As I have now are 10 times better and surprisingly not expensive so check them out.
