i got the problem as well
i have tried to clean the wiper, using rainex and soup but still got some noise SOMETIMES. Not sure why but I guess the plastic may dry beacause I park my car 24 hours on the street and the sun may dry it up. I try to ask the dealer to fix but i couldnt make the sound in front of them...... =( need to wait the problem to get worse so I can show them

Applying some graphite powder onto the wiper rubbers should fix that. Or get new rubbers

I will get sillicon blades once the original goes....

But so far so good, cause I always wax/wipe the windscreen after waxing the car. (just use the cloth with wax stains....)

Regarding the washer bottle, do you put anti freeze inside if its going to be cold and below 0? Last time I went to the snowfields, the bottle of water I left in the car become frozen over the night...

NO.Don't put antifreeze in your washer bottle. If it gets on your paintwork it could damage it.

I have no problems with my 06 wipers.

Here in Adelaide, the air tends to be drier and more dusty -- so it sounds like there may well be some crap on the blades and on the windscreen.

However, it does also sound a bit like the rubber has hardened. Sounds daft, but the more you use the wipers, the longer they remain supple.

Do they make noise all the time, or just early on before the windscreen is suffiently wet?

If in doubt, speak to the dealer about it...

This is what i find funny about my situation... when the windscreen is slightly wet and I do a single swipe... its silent... then under heavier rain i turn on constant swiping, the noise comes on. If it was the blade the noise wouldnt only be on the last 5% of the swing... cant see any dirt on the windscreen either...

How old are your 06 wipers? From experience even with 03-05 wiper blades, the rubber starts to harden after 6 months if you park outside under the sun everyday. Not sure which wiper refills you can use for the 06 though. Can you use the same size refills as the 03-05?

As Tony said, don't put antifreeze. Instead, look for "winter use" washer concentrate. Those contain a high concentration of alcohol so that your water doesn't freeze.

Might be better with washer additive instead of campbells. hehehe

Seriously, I've been using Rain-X for at least 15 years without undue problems. Just clean the glass with something like Autoglym glass polish then applying two coats of Rain-X.
I maintain the system with a Rain-X washer additive which has water repellent in it. This has the added advantage of leaving a little silicon on the blades.
