    Some links for the keen readers:

    First drive => http://cars.uk.msn.com/Reviews/artic...mentid=2704690

    4 Car review + video => http://www.channel4.com/4car/rt/honda/civic/1382/2

    Autocar review => http://www.autocar.co.uk/CarReviews/...Type-R/223991/

    Timesonline review => http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/tol...cle1324001.ece

    Alot of reviews from normal consumers that had an EP3 and comparing it to the current can be found at civictype-r.co.uk but you need to register to view their forums.

    Couldn't find the link for Evo sorry but apparently i think its the same comment like most, it doesn't deserve the R badge.

    I was told at the Melbourne Motor show $38K to $43k.If they can keep the base CTR under $40K ,I believe that it will be competitive.

    Yeh it sounds about right as a base model Gti is about 39-40k. It looks like cars sold in the UK seem to be abit more expensive if that is the case.

    they know nothing about the versions yet i think the options will be listed when the price comes out. They havent told me the price yet all i know is that it is within 38-43. I paid 1000 to order the car

    I'm pretty sure they will have 2 versions.

    Type-R:

    18" allow wheels
    Unique Type R sports suspension
    Body coloured front and rear spoilers with lower side skirts
    Type R chrome kick plates
    Aluminium pedals
    Dual Zone dashboard
    Leather steering wheel with red stitching
    Unique Type R serial number
    Red engine start button
    i-VTEC rev indicator
    Multi-function driver computer
    Stereo CD tuner
    Steering wheel mounted audio controls

    The Type-R GT comes with all the above and:

    Fog lights
    Cruise control
    Curtain airbags
    Duel zone climate control
    Automatic head lights with dusk sensor
    Automatic rain sensing wipers
    Power folding door mirrors

    If you go http://www.civictyper.com.au there is a video on the australian launch and it was noted that what we see in europe is what we also get in aus.

    When the Megane first came out I thought it was ugly.........but now the cup versions look quite hot.

    Hope things change for the R...........such a shame our first civic R starts off on the back foot IMO.
