Euro control panel(temperature and audio) display very dim(almost can't see!). HELP!!

I know it's a pain.it's a well known fault with the 04 Euros(and TSX in the states).just be gratefull it's covered under warranty(isn't it!!)

Which makes me wonder if I should fork out $895 for the extended warranty for my 04, just for this problem..
