Groupthink is never a good thing....

But a lot of the stuff that I do with my friends I made on here, I do with them, in the garage, like on the weekend, 4 different cars on the hoist.

Installing new suspension, replacing bushings, etc.

Just because there are 12,000 people on here, does not mean that there isn't meaningful things that occurred. it's not that impersonal, and its a lot easier to be a well co-ordinated group when there's less than 300 people on the site you frequent.

OzHonda people do go to track days, but who said that taking your car to the track always = you are serious about your car............

Maybe not all of us are well heeled, and dont have / can't drive an S2000. Sure it's a cheap sportscar, but when you're at uni, and you haven't got that silver spoon in your mouth, do you really think you can afford 1,000 for semi slicks, or for coilover suspension. How about you get back into reality.

noone is asking you to buy a s2000 and go to track days.

when you categorize a s2000 as a cheap sportscar you are preaching to the wrong crowd in the wrong forum.

putting down a car that is retailed at 72k just puts a big question mark on whats considered cheap.

track days are for some and arent for others that is ok, some may be going to uni and some are working.

this is where aus gets off by saying that idiot comments are made on ozhonda which at times is true, because of the peopl who are not sure but still insist on putting their 2 cents in which you know is true.

S2ki are very honest witht heir opinions good or bad but they are honest to know if they can help you or not (at most times they can)

well, lets just say, I can afford an S2K, it would drain all my savings, but I could not drive it, as I am too tall.

Well which is it a cheap sports car, or one so pricey u need a silver spoon to own one.

The points Aus made (or the way i interpreted them) only seemed to apply s2000 drivers/forum goers, and being a frequent user of both forums, i think hes hit the nail on the head. Here on ozhonda most ppl (in the s2000 forum) dont get very technical is as simple as that. I dont think it has a s2000 member base to be that way inclined. So the threads are ususally about other topics, that may bore some other owners who are performance or track focused. Its just the way it is, good, bad or otherwise.

For the record i have alot of respect for eg's with k20a swaps, or any other well engineered car for that matter. I cruise and go to track days with many other cars including crx's, civics and integras.I get the impression you all seem to think that we s2000 owners are narrow minded and arrogant, fine thats your choice, i just dont see how u came to that conclusion about us here personally.

For someone to post a thread such as this one, its clear they obviously resent/hate s2000 owners, for whatever reason. I dont see the need for it and it says alot about the mods and operators of this forum to allow it. I dont see the need to start a thread that is clearly bashing and defaming a specific user group of the forum.

Goforthandmultiplys2 ie: fcuk off s2k. No sorry i dont recognise the name, i dont think they'd allow that to be registered at s2ki.com. Besides even if it is a hoax, the attitude of other users isnt exactly appreciated.

depends on your stage of life.

to an old guy who makes 100K+ and has paid off his mortgage, its cheap.

to me, mid 20's who has just finished uni and wants to buy a house, its expensive.

If I had a silver spoon part B would be na

P.S. if AusS2000 said things that applied only to S2000 owners, then he should say so on S2Ki.com, not about OzHonda users in general.

there are quite a few owners in their early to mid 20's? i purchased my s2000 when i was 21 WITH MY OWN FUNDS. no silver spoon here...

It is a little grey... But anyway for the record, AusS2000 says that about s2k owners here on Ozhonda. They are not as technically orientated. S2ki is more like honda-tech, where discussions are technical, to the point and bs is not tolerated:

Over here at Ozhonda, we hoped to keep non-technical posts in the lounge so that the model and technical sections don't get cluttered up with threads like these.

Anyway, it's time to close as this thread is not technical and shouldn't be in this section (my bad for not noticing this earlier).
