Radiator Fan not powering up on DC2

There doesnt seem to be any power coming to the fuse uinder the dash, fun works when connected to power supply, what could the problem be, it is an aftermarket slim fan, there is no power coming to the connector that connects on to the fan connection, what could the problem be?

    anyone experience this before

    thanks

If the fan is working when you are throwing direct power to it, and the fuse is not blown.. most likely your fan switch has had it.

with out looking at the schematic I would asume that its ment to have power at the fues. it might only get power once the thermo switch has changed state and the thermofan relay has engaged.

a quick ( cheat ) test is to remove the fan relay and bridge the contacts and the fan shoudl kick in.

another good test is to undo the thermofan switch connector and bridge its contacts, then if the fan spins thats your problem.

    im guessing you have a EJ8 ???

Hey i got the same problem as well, try bridging the fan relay but nothing turns on.

What can be the problem and where is the thermofan switch connector located?

done that, and fan worked, so the only thing that it can be is the switch, will change that and see how we go
