    ED6 Civic
    well the last vti system i saw used a sliding camshaft design with a progressive trapezoid shaped lobe. as you adjust your throttle position, it slides down to utilise the width of the base of the trapezoid to maximise valve duration.
    hence it was valve timing with intelligence.
    Current Performance Modifications to ED6:
    not telling, but it involves a semi-quad carb setup, and lots and lots of compression.

    yeah but VTEC only effects the intake lobes

    if its a 98 coupe
    that would be a vtir
    pretty daym sure coupes in that time dont come in vti

    unless ur vtec fell off.....

    Nope, VTi Coupe was available Pre 99

    Post 99 was when VTi-R Coupe aka EM1 was brought in and the only other Coupe at that time was the GLi

    oohhh. yeah possibly your vtec DID fall off. you might want to get a mechanic to check it over for you. Might need to have it remounted with the right torque settings to get the most out of your boosting experience....
