I know if you did get the H22 you'd have to at least upgrade your braking system and more than likely get it engineered.
Find an engineer and put to him you plans for the conversion. He will tell you what you need to do in regards to brake upgrade etc.......

But honest, I would not go spending money on a conversion on an 7th gen unless you really want a 4 door hatch.

Just go and buy an EP3R, it'll save you money.

P.S. I think there is a lack of 7th gen due to,

    1) The popularity of cars such as the Corollas, Lancer and all the cheap imports (more competition). Comon guys, they (Civics) cost about 5k more new. Not everyone wanted to spend the extra to get a honda.

    2) People needed time to get over the EK.

Nothing wrong with the 7th gen. Heaps of potential. Lower one on some nice rims and they look hot!

It wouldn't of hurt to have made the sedan vtec at approx 20k brand new.... even the Jazz was vtec

Thailand came out with a 2.0l k20 7th gen sedan

Thats fine, but it wouldnt make sense if you were going to put a H22A in one tho?

Its easier to say everywhere else got the good ones but Australia. We're only good enough to get the povvo packs in all cars.

They must have made a mistake when the Gen 8 Sport came in.

They will look the ultimate sleeper car with a proper K transplant. The D17 is obviously no powerhouse unless turbo'ed.

Emulate the MME2004 mugen engineered champion: http://asia.vtec.net/article/MME2004ET1/index.html

Of course it will make no financial sense, but passion is priceless.

I actually think with just OEM skirts & lips, lowered with nice rims, it's tastefully nice. Skip the rear spoiler.
