So this isn't a transmission cooler though is it?
I'm wanting to put a automatic transmission oil cooler in mine.I mean it hasn't already got one has it?

Also will this radiator work in my automatic EK1 Civic:http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80030

Auto EK radiator is twin core.
    Slightly thicker.
Its obvious when they're lined up side by side.
Same dimensions otherwise, same mounting points (I think).

Manual EK is single core (and thinner because of it).

Also, theres a small heat exchanger at the bottom.
Very low profile, basically a length of pipe which runs through the radiator ends.

    > So this isn't a transmission cooler though is it?
Yes, if you have an auto EK, you already have a trans cooler.
Look at the bottom of the radiator.
There'll be some small diameter (6-8mm) tubes.

    > Also will this radiator work in my automatic EK1
Not sure. Unless you got a 350 small block shoe horned into the civic
    I don't think you'll be needing this.

If you've got overheating problems, look elsewhere. Flush and bleed the air out of the
    cooling system might help.

Removing the rubber strip on the cowling is said to drop temperatures a bit, but I havn't needed to do this.

    Thanks Nick,your a champ!
I haven't got overheating problems but I'm going to track my car next year so I thought it's a good upgrade but it sounds like I won't have to do this.Thank U

Is the stock automatic transmission oil cooler sufficient/efficent enough for the track or will I need to upgrade?

    Cool. Drag or circuit racing?

Absolutely no idea about the auto though.

Over on d-series.org nobody, nobody, nobody speaks highly of Honda autos.

Perhaps this deserves a new thread so others can help out?

I expect every man and a dog or two will tell you to convert to manual, but I'm sure there are good reasons not to.

    Nick.

Sorry Nick I missed your post last night.
I know on d-series it's all manual, manual, manual. But they are all for speed, speed, speed and I'm not but there are a few that have auto's,even turboed ones on there.

This will be for circuit racing.I'll get another thread going
