I've heard heaps of people on this forum who claim to have upgraded to this and claim its no trouble but I'm wondering how the smoothness of the ride would become? E.g. going over speedbumps, potholes and also the possible problem of rims bending and denting over potholes. I'm also wondering about if the 1.8 litre engine would become damaged from lugging the heavy 20s around, or even if it's capable opf pushing 20s. Anyone wanna shed some feedback?
I like to ask you a few questions.

    1. Do you like to waste your money?
    2. Do you want people around you to think you're an uneducated unsophisticated fool?
    3. Do you like suffering minor concussions while driving every day?

If you answer yes to at least 2/3 then I say get 20s for sure.

Does anyone know if 215/18/40 would be ok if my car came with 195/65/15? Would there be any probs with the brakes or any parts failing? How do people go with insurance companies if their rim size is 1 or 2 sizes too big?

mine 225/18/40. called NRMA, they said, ok. they only concern about the width size- maximum width they will accept is 9.5 (or 10 - i forgot ?).
but when i called RTA - 2 times,
once, they said, no probs, as long as overall diameter same like stock
but other, said, max go up 2 inch for size and width
