Double DIN for Euro?
Hi All,
I've just picked myself up an 05' Euro Lux. 6sp. This is my first Honda and so far i'm loving it!!
I'm a bit of a geek and i'm interested in installing a CarPC, but need a place to mount the screen. I'm not interested in bodgy'ing my Euro's console, so i'm after a proper Double DIN fascia to replace the "cubby hole" in front of the gear shift.
I've done a little research (including searching these forums), and it appears that Honda (in the US at least) have a genuine double DIN fascia available!
Please see here http://www.collegehillshonda.com/hon...lectronics.htm and http://www.collegehillshonda.com/sto...mp3playerb.jpg
It looks like they are available in the US, Part #08B06-SDA-100
Does anybody know of any dealers selling them in Aus.? I phoned up spare parts at Southside Honda here in Brissy, but they really had no idea!?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
-Steve
UPDATE: I've pointed so many people to this thread, I thought I better update this first post:
-> Do not use the US Double DIN kit, the fascia itself fits, but one of the brackets in the kit don't!
-> A genuine Double DIN kit is available in Australia, Part# 08B06-SDE-700, $70-$80
-> Jump ahead to page 5 for photos of my install: http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthr...t=80668&page=5
-> Info on the Euro's Audio Harness Pinouts can be found here: http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=83611

The american accords have the same dash as ours,
Acura TSX has a different dash..
the Stinger dash kit is for an american accord, it fits our euro perfect..
That add on looks the same as the Add on you get if you opt to buy the Honda MP3 player.
it'll probably be hard to buy that dash piece without the mp3 player In Aus.
Does that site post?
looks pretty sweet, that would be a good solution!
looks good

That maybe true, but that dash -> http://www.collegehillshonda.com/sto...mp3playerb.jpg looks almost exactly like my Euro (see below).

Also theres a total stereo replacement kit that seperates the AC controls from the stereo, but only single DIN -
http://www.ryda.com.au/Aerpro-Accord...p/fp997864.htm
and heres the thing you are talking about, a double DIN that replaces the CD box under the OEM stereo-
http://www.ryda.com.au/Best-Kits-Hon...bkhonk823h.htm
Annnd theres a DIN bay on TOP of the dash, too, and some after market kits form the US use this as well for DVD screens etc.
This is a pic from my car-

Yeah, single DIN, sorry.
Yeah, the plug under the stereo is a changer interface, but all sorts of things have been made to use it.... satelilite radio in the US, changers, OEM mp3 player, usb mp3, and what I'm getting-
http://enfigcarstereo.com/shopsite_s...A11_HON2Y.html
iPod + Aux in, which will plug into my Motorola T605 BT handsfree that I have on order with Expansys so I can get A2DP signal into my stereo.
I've also ordered a "Parrot AC000008AA Adapter (Honda)" which should have plugs to suit the car, and be hacked up and a 4PDT relay added to make the Motorola kit use the OEM speakers and mute the radio without cutting any car harnesses.
