Just wondering if anyone has fitted a ITR LSD unit(below) into a b16a2 gearbox?

Can you tell me if it was a direct fit, or is there some customisation needed?

The LSD will fit fine, however the B16a final drive ring gear wont bolt up to the ITR LSD since the bolt holes are spaced differently. If you use the ring gear from VTiR teg or ITR gearbox it will be a direct fit

    true.
another thing to note is the FD on the itr LSD.

ITR lsd of 4.4 should fit fine.
ITR lsd of 4.7 will not.

what exactly is the issue with the OBX ? i have heard win/lose with the D series OBX...that is , you have to machine the outer ring or somepart for it to fit properly. But once done it works 100%.

Havent heard any bad stories for the B series diffs

On D16's at least, you'll need a b-series oil ring to shim it properly.

Do a search on d-series.org for "transzex" and "obx". There's a lot of chatter and I unfortunately don't have a condensed version of it all.

There's a new version (3.0) out recently, try get that. OBX is actually paying attention to what people are saying and making changes.

So that 3.0 doesn't have this problem on the D16's?

That's the only reason why I haven't brought an OBX LSD
