Eactly! Hiding the Green blocks is pretty easy. I guess one reason we have them displayed from the start is to get people used to it / spread the word.
You can still see if / how many PQ points you have in your UserCP.

For starters it shouldn't be a question of "How Many" it should be a "yes/no qualification" type system that qualifies people to sell in the for sale section
THe how many mentality creates a division amongst this community - mods vs general populus, and populus vs populus etc.
secondly, requests to have an account with selling priveliges should be made with moderators basing their decision on point a) above. A registered account should not have selling privelidges to begin with.
but honestly the ideal solution is to allow anyone to sell on here and just moderate the forum. Who cares if people just join to sell, i'd rather have that than read 90% of the bullshit around here... as it gives members a greater list of items to purchase, thats a win win.
because it takes away the emphasis from car enthusiast forums
it leaves the possibility of this website revolving around the FS section instead of the rest of the honda enthusiast forums
it makes sense that ther will be less spam and bs going around simply because ppl wont be spamming massive amounts of garbage simply to get their PQ point and jump onto the FS forum
Also, if the FS section isnt restricted to proper members, then the amount of FS threads will triple, making moderating ALOT more difficult

This brings up the whole issue of fairness and users will start complaining of biased moderating. Not to mention the fact that moderators will be inundated with requests on top of their already large work load. It is just not feasible.

Then unfortunately you've failed to see one of the main reasons for the forum, and that is for it NOT for it to become a place for people to merely buy/sell things. The main purpose for this forum is for people to help each other out and learn about their Hondas.
Bad rep for that comment, was "there is other ways to do it" (-1 Rep for Bad Grammar, lol) when clearly in later comments in the same thread I've offered alternatives.
Interestingly I received a +rep from another person for the same thread.
This is an obvious case of abuse of position, and I want
a) the rep removed
b) the moderator warned to not abuse the system with an infraction.
I believe an infraction for Misuse of the PQ system is worth 10 points.
