    What??

If you want me to be super specific for you, there are no external amplifiers. However I do believe there is an internal amplifier in the h/u because there is sound as stated in my first message. There are 8 speaker wires (4 positive, 4 negative) going to 4 corners of the car where a split speaker system from the Pioneer tsc1625 series is housed. The wiring to those peaker is not soldered, rather they have just been twisted and taped individually.

Hope this clears up your confusion

i'll repeat what i said, it sounds like you have a short in a cable somewhere, if unsure or don't know what you're looking for then i would make a suggestion that you take your car to a store to get it check and wired properly. you should be able to get to at least volume position 22 without the internal amp being clipped, volume 35 (max) if using an external amp. so do yourself a favour and fork out some cash and get it looked by an installer who knows what they are doing.

    i ain't confused, i do this for a living

can you explain this to me?

'How big is your MP3 collection? Do you own an MP3 player so you can listen to your MP3’s everywhere you go? With Alpine head units that have USB connection feature, now you can connect a leading brand MP3 player like iRiver™ to your system, and control it right from the head unit! All it takes is Alpine’s KCA-620M for digital quality sound. You can even charge your portable MP3 device while you drive and listen.'

so does that mean i need KCA 620M to play mp3 in an usb? or is that only if i want digital quality sound??

OH btw. THANKS didn't wanna make anyother post and jam up OH sharing is caring that's why those old men says
