i used to have HIDs with my angel eyes projectors for 3 years, haven't had any problems whatsoever with oncoming traffic or even cops...

the usual rule is to have the cutoff beam to be about 600mm from the ground and ur car parked about 5m from the wall...also u have to remember to set the right beam a bit lower than the left one so u don't blind oncoming traffic...
