get a whiteline rear bar. Not too expensive. so long as you don't go above 18mm you should be fine without a ASR or rear brace.

Last time i looke they were less than $200

If he does that he'll still need the Fulcrum D-Links anyhow so why not just buy a CTR item in the trading section that comes with the lot

I'd run the brace as well seeing as the stress caused by the sway bar does has the potential to tear the metal it's attached to and for what their worth you may as well.

It's just one of those things that does cost money and EM1 rear sways don't come around often it's a sellers market and for good gear it's not always cheap, if a jobs worth doin it's worth doing with the appropriate gear I'm just being realistic

can have it cheap if you want, not too sure how much its going to cost to ship to you though, sort of a weird shape so cubing it up is going to be weird

    Hi |nick|,

Definitely do your research for the rear of the EK. There's so many options out there. If your planning to track your car, an EK4 setup will not cut it.

If your dead-serious about keeping cost down, you can always make some of the options yourself, especially if you know people who have a workshop with some serious tools.

An ASR brace is something easy to replicate, just need a big thick piece of black-metal and the tools to cut/drill in the right spots - all you need is a pic of an ASR brace to work from.

As for the end-links, they're better off being sourced from your wrecker if they have them, just make sure the joints are really stiff and hard to twist and that you bargain them down in price.

The swaybar itself - sky's the limit, nearly every brand makes one - and you don't necessarily need one 'for' and EK. You can use a DC2 Type R rear swaybar, which is also made by heaps of different brands.

Last but not least, the D-shackles - with Type R D-shackles/bushes you will need to drill two holes to make them line up. But alternatively you can buy D-shackles which fit the two holes on the sub-frame and find a bushing to fit.

Search this site too for anything on EK rear sway's, it's got tonnes of good information here.

    Cheers, Dan.

endlinks can be sourced from 'hondar'. just pm him, theyre OEM endlinks.
$69 each i hear, which is quite cheap as i was quoted 110 each from honda parts.
as for a sway bar, if you ARE going to track the car, go for asr+ CTR combo, and parsout is right, there are many other options besides the ASR. for street an ek4/em1 setup is enough.
just research and wait for the funds to appear. lol
    good luck buddy.

yea i've been reading around here and hondatech and most people have some sort of reinforcement. I was also thinking about fabricating an asr style brace at one stage but then i was thinking that there must be something special/different for it to cost $300~

    the help/advice is much appreciated

with the front swaybar, you need ek4/ek9 front control arms to fit the swaybars. the control arms cost under 200.
