Euro 19" tyre question

Running 19x8.5, would it be ok to use a 235/35 tyre? Or would that be too wide?? There are no 225/35 tyres that are correctly load rated, that I can find anyway....

225/35 tyres are load rated 88.
88 = 537.5kg. max speed rating 240-300km/hr

225 would fit snug (also depending on brand & soft the side wall is)
235 would look nicer and have slight wheel protection (also depends on tyre you get).

I think the minimum legal rating for a Euro is 88 right? I think they came with a 91 and 94 for the luxury from factory if I remember correctly?

Can anyone confirm that minimum 88?
All the ones I found were a 84 or so

they came with 92Y or something on the lines of that.
What brnad tyres are you going for?
Cause i looked at dunlop as an example for 225/35 only tyre you can get in that size is dunlop sp sport maxx at 88
e.g Pirelli Pzero Nero comes in 225/35 and rated at 88Y.

sorry i am a bit noob on this not sure about minimum legal, is there such legality for it?
As long as your not going to put like 4 off people weighing over 150kg each, but from all the tyres i've seen for that size i think 88 is the max you can get for load rating, but speed rating is another thing.

Yeah, speed ratings are easy, but according to the law you need load rating correct too, don't get why it's not a commercial vehicle or so, but oh well.

For maximum weight reasons with full load of people.
same scenario as why a lift has a label saying how many people it can hold @ this weight capacity.

Yeah, I know how that works, but according to Mr QLD Transport, both need to be correct, even for non-commercial vehicles.

Did a quick check just to make sure, but yes, load rating as well. For QLD anyway, NSW FTW - bags bags bags

So going by that, there usually the part on the tyre placard that says 'tyres fitted to this vehicle must not have a rating of less then **bla bla bla **' or something like that. Can someone check what it says? My Euro isin't at home with me right now

standard tyres for euro is 91V for standard Euro, and 91W for luxury Euro, so you really need to get tyres the same or higher than the standard spec.
