its your cash luke, plus the time to install it,but if the Dseries boys are getting reliable results now then u could be right, just remember helicals are metal on metal abuse,so lets hope OBX's research has come up to speed, they shouldve done enough testing by now,it would certainly be good news for all our wallets.

...which brings us to the original topic....
does anyone know what diff bearing size is to suit his 93 vti ?

Can you find the round casting stamp, about 10mm dia, near (10cm) the oil filler hole? prob need a torch and crawl around under the car.
Let me know and I'll take a picture of one to help people find it
A000 is 36mm
B000 is 40mm
no other way to identify gearbox casing as far as I know.
This information is purely from Inet research and not from practical experience, so you get what you pay for.
Also, I think at one point I found a UK supplier of bearings which had the ID of the 40mm bearing but fit into the 36mm bearing. Perfect for all the 36mm gearbox people wnating to squeeze in an OBX.
I just have to sieve through a lot of email to find the contact details, feel free to prompt me to remind me.
Nick.
