the reason why they changes the power to weight ratio rule is because there is absolutely no way to test power to weight ratio out on the streets.... victoria police don't have the resources to test such data out on the street.... so they took the budget option and banned specific cars from P platers.... as long as your car is not turbo, superchaged, V8 or over 3.5 Litres your safe

The way I read those new laws, an S2000 is legal if left stock? Plenty of nice quick N/a 4 Cyl to choose from. Pitty young guys/girls can't mod them to give it the personal touch!

I am 32, and I am glad I didn't have to put up with the government deciding for me what I should drive. It sh!ts me that most accidents I see down on the penninsula in VIC are just normal people, and high performance cars with young people at the wheel actually account for stuff all fatalities on the road.

We want you to stop drinking- put up alchohol prices = more govt $$$$$
We want you to stop smoking- put up smoke prices = more govt $$$$$
We want you to use less energy- put up utility prices = more govt $$$$$
We want less accidents- we choose what you can drive- if not you are fined = more govt $$$$$
We want you to save water- use less, cause we wont build another dam! and we can charge more for it too = more govt $$$$$

What they can't tax they put a fines system in place to gain $$$$$

See a pattern? They don't want to give you a solution, they are too busy being part of the problem and lining their pockets all the way.

current p platers have been mooved on to green p's.
the green p's system affects people who get there liscence from now on. now when you go for you p's you get RED p's which you hold for one year provided you dont have any serious driving ofenses. then you graduate to GREEN p's, you hold the green p's for 3 years now provided you dont loose ur liscene etc etc. basicly you are a p plater for 4 years now (load of sh1t) and you only have 5 demerit points through having ur p's.

hope that clears it up for you
