    tips for fuel economy

slow acceleration, not above 2500 rpms
    tyres inflated to 40 psi
coasting to traffic lights, i.e take your foot off the accelerator when you see a red light in the distance, time the lights, (this is the one i love the best) all the others speed by and are stuck at the lights by the time I arrive there it changes green and I just cruise through,

Drive like you do not have brakes, use of brakes is a waste of all that energy your car produced (and petrol to produce that forward momentum), coast to a stop light or a intersection,

Drive below the speed limit (80-90 in a 100km zone)
Tailgaters, my solution is to test their brakes, if they are tailgating you, give them the test brake message, slam on your brakes for a second, they soon get the message.

By using all these techniques your drive will be a lot more stressfree and the bonus is you will never get pinged by a speed camera for speeding, just think that $100 speeding ticket is so many litres of fuel,

by driving like a maniac you probably only save, the most 5 mins, because most times ive caught up to the speedster at the next lights, so take it easy! do some good for your hip pocket (save fuel) and the environment!

if we all can save even 1 litre of fuel by using these techniques and that accures over 1 million cars thats a million litre of fuel saved and not burnt each week!

Touchwood for the 16 years ive been driving ive never got a speeding ticket.

we got the same techniques clayton. i love it when i'm doing 110 then have to stop without touching the brakes at all.. i only drive like a maniac if i'm stressed or having a bad day. lol

btw i filled up with full tank yesterday, the odometer read at 420 kms and i only have to top up 24 liters to bring it back to full..

yeah it's amazing considering my car is modded with exhaust, headers, and cai

i always fill up the tank when the needle is 3/4 through.. they said it's bad to drain the fuel tank because it's gonna suck some dirt from the tank's floor..
