R6 is a beautiful bike ,but i think the GSXR600 has the little finishing touches that make it a bit better....but yes CBR is the benchmark atm.

    Handling
    (quickness, feedback, stability, confidence)
    1. CBR600RR 93%
    2. ZX-6R 90%
    3. Daytona 675 90%
    4. GSX-R600 87%
    5. R6 77%
Claiming its first, first-place finish in the category of Handling, the nimble CBR600RR did the best job in the majority of our testers’ minds. Its chassis dimensions aren’t exceptionally flightier than the other four, and it is only rivaled by the 675 which has substantially shorter trail (86.8 vs. 97.7mm) and identical rake (23.5º). Nevertheless, the Honda simply was “the easiest to flick from side to side, yet was super stable mid-corner,” according to trackday junkie Steve. Along with the shortest wheelbase (53.9”) the Honda boasts the most advanced steering stabilizer in the group. Having improved greatly from its first edition, the HESD – discreetly hidden under the front lip of the fuel tank – is the perfect ally to “add stability to a bike with aggressive steering geometry,” notes Duke. If there’s a drawback to the HESD it is that steering can seem a touch on the heavy side when initiating a turn at high speeds, as the complex steering damper considers vehicle speed, throttle position and rate of acceleration when determining the amount of resistance to apply. Found another review..

    http://www.visordown.com/articles/vi...v_r6/4825.html

I'm sure people will still be in denial about it.

Even though they wouldn't have even ridden any of these bikes !!!!

Theres no doubt the 08 cbr600rr is the best all rounder bike currently, but in an Engish mag 'Bikerworld' they did a shoot out between the cbr and a Triumph 675 and they gave the win to the triumph, only due to the fact that they say the honda.. will basically get boring LOL

so honestly as Type R positive stated, everyone has a different opinion

ive got a 08 cbr600rr and ive ridden a good mate of mines 08 r6.

firstly, go sit on the bikes and see how comfortable you are on them.
now i might be a little bias here but if looks is not all that your after than Id go with the cbr. You dont have to ring it up high in the rev range to get some good power going, unlike the r6 where its like your on the track between every intersection lol.

If your commuting with the bike alot, again from personal experience id recommend the cbr because its very very light, and the riding position is not overly agressive.

Theres a lot of things going for both these bikes in all honesty and none of us will take them to their limits. theres only a few in the world who can lol.

afterall you will be riding the bike and its imperative that you get the one you are most comfortable with..

o0 and girls dont no the different between cbr's and r6's so you will pick up on both if that floats your boat:P they just like bikes fullstop ahah

True that about people taking the bikes to thier limits. Ive ride my 250 alot, and for most days i hop on it ( which is like 6 days a week) i find out something new either about my bike or rider input. Its quite fascinating really.
