Deadly serious. Loud noise, especially bass, has a cumulative effect on hearing loss. In other words, you don't regain your hearing once it's gone. Too many nightclubs in my youth means that I have a permanent hearing loss. I'm completely deaf in one ear and the other hasn't got much. Go a day with ear plugs in your ears and see how people shun you if you can't hear them properly.

Really! Was your hearing loss just from going to nightclubs?
