    DIY : blackened badge

    the item you need

old atm card, hair drier ,clean glove, fine steel wool, primer (auto paint), black spray auto paint, and clear gloss auto paint

remove the badges using hair dry ( heat the glue adhesive )bagde and old atm card carefully remove the badges then to clean the badge scrub with steel wool thoroughly , use clean glove and clean the chrome badge spray the primer 2 - 3 coats let it dry then apply black paint 2 coats for me its all good and leave it dry and apply the clear coat 2 light coats. leave it dry and put it back all together

to glue it back on i use ( sikaflex black stuff ) get it from autoshop around $25 - $30

Yeah me too, but those Toyota's i've seen were white so the Matt black badges contrasted against the white background.
