no SOHC vtec is only ignition if i rem rightly.
It doesn't have the lift to change the profiles.
So when vtec kicks in there is no big kick

lol tru... esp cause my vtec kicks in at 4k and thats when the turbo starts pulling harder aswell so its hard to tell really whether its vtec or just the turbo getting closer to full boost
lol come over wen I get home so we can compare well atm i got a screamer pipe so that prevents me from HEARING vtec cross over but i duno, i did only drive my car for 3 hours so maybe i havent driven it enuf to feel vtec as the boost was new to me? but i was looking for it lol

lol, not quite, mines a internal gate setup.
in 4th gear, i can only hear mine.
3rd and 4th gear is when i can feel vtec coming on.
by the way christian atm i'm 10psi making 180kw and 15psi making 210kw.
