Just turbo charge the s2k, it's the way to go. All this talk of reliability issues with FI is crap. As long as you do it right the first time ie good new turbo and quality manifold etc, then it should be fine. Make sure that all the work is engineered, and most importantly find the best tuner for your application.
Just a note if you go through with this, don't bother buying parts here and there to store in your garage until you're ready. The most likely case is that your just gonna end up selling the project. Just save money till you have the whole amount.
