    [CL9] - Headlight Washers

    Hi All,

Is there a way to disable the headlight wahers?
i.e. when clearing the windscreen, can you make only the windscreen washers work instead of the headlights also?

I have noticed on the CU2 Accord Euro Luxury that they seem to have a switch next to the VSA switch. The switch is split in two. Top appears to be a headlight washer switch, bottom appears to be front parking sensors.

Would it be possible to retro fit this to a CL9 to make the headlights wash only with the switch and the windscreen with the stalk.

Can any of the CU2 guys confirm what this switch does?

    I hope this make sense.

^yeah i know exactly what you mean. We have a cl9 and cu2.
THe cu2 also has another button to activate the headlight washers separately whereas the cl9 washers would activate as long as the headlights are on regardless of whether u want them to or not.

Im sure there would be a way to retrofit. I replaced my front bar and decided to disconnect the headlight washer unit entirely. I understand that it is illegal to not have the washers but i'll wait till i get pulled over for it

If you cant retrofit, you can always disconnect the unit. For me, the headligh washers were useless. Only thing it did was to make the windscreeen washers weaker at night

    Thanks for the reply...

So to confirm, the switch in the CU2 is for Headlight washer / Front Parking Sensor.

Also, by disconnecting the headlight washer unit; did this interfere with the normal operation of squirting the windscreen / wiping action?

Maybe if it is as simple as disconnecting the headlight washer unit and plugging / wiring upto to the new switch; it might be problem solved!

    Will keep you posted...

In the CU2, there is one button for parking and one button for headlight washers.

I have the washers disconnected on my CL9 and it does not affect the windscreen washer funstion.

    Keep us updated
