Just a review of the tyres on my new shoes... I have Kumho KU23 with 225/40/18 and like dmx point out before, its noisy! not something that most ppl (includnig myself and wife) cant bear though... i need to concentrate to tell the differnt in noisyness with the stock 16". But so far its still good until I got more cash for better tyres (not that early, I hope... )

    Bye2 Honda... Hello Mazda family

Yep. the 45 profile toyo tranpath somethings are noisier on my new shoes also. I guess it comes with having less tyre. Going to spend tonight (until the silly hours of the morning) applying my new car mod will share later... hopefully tomorrow or monday when I'm done.

just got some new tread my wheel specs are 18x8 +40 with 225/40/18 hankook ventus rs2 and rolled guards (because my previous tread was 235/40 lowered with major scrubbing issues) ... but all in all good tyres, not too loud for performance based tyres, handles like its on rails now .. and most importantly no scrubbing with full load =]

to reduce the noise : on center dash, push top right knob and turn to 12

anyway, i'll probably stick with the 17s that i have now. but i'll do some more research on this thing with insurance.

    thanks anyway guys.

btw mark since ur setup of 7.5 and +35 is pretty much the same as my 8 and +40... except mine will have 11mm LESS inner clearance.. do u think that would cause any issues? i mean its only 11mm so yea....
