head lights very bright

ok, for a while people have been trying to tell me my head lights are on, even tho they arnt. it is very annoying and last night i got into a verbal fight at the traffic lights over my head lights with some old man.

what way do i turn the nobs to turn them down so they face the road more?

best to do it at night... just drive up to a wall and adjust it from there so you can see if your adjusting it the right way

Do you mean that they are on highbeam?

If they are not turned on then aiming them at the road won't do much for you..

Old people have bad eyes hence anything other than yellowish beams look startling to them.

lol there on an 03 standard, i have normal head lights, but every one yells at me at traffic lights saying my high beams are on. some one told me you can point them lower so the beam aims lower rather than other peoples eyes

Easy fixed, next time they have a go, turn your high beams on.

Oh i used to do this in my old 4X4 with HID spotlights on the front..

People pretty quickly stop flashing you or abusing you or even forgettiing to turn their high beams off whilst driving behind you!

this makes no sense?

they try tell you your headlight s are on? when theyre not? then they argue with you about it? are you talking about your high beams?

since you have standard model euro, read your car manual, explains step by step how to adjust them down... if you know where the knobs are, turn it one way and see if they go down... if they go up, turn them the other way

as for people complaining, projector style headlights (thats what your car has) have a very sharp beam cutoff, hence they can aim slightly higher than a reflector style headlight that suffers badly from gradual cutoff... this means that when you go over bumps, or up/down hills, people think your headlgihts are to bright... no point trying to explain that to some idiot on the road lol

as for highbeaming people, thats road rage and you shouldnt talk about that on here.. mods get angry lol

My friend (a Highway patrol cop) just left here and we were talking about highbeaming...

Not actually road rage! Each to their own but...
