I know what you're saying. I had a stuffed rotor on my Type R and the Honda service centre tried to blame the car alarm that I had installed by a third party. Through some perserverance Honda took responsibility and changed the rotor under warranty.

I think it also depends on the Honda service centre. I've used two different Honda service centres and one is much better than the other at identifying and fixing problems (one took two goes at fixing the rotor problem with no success and tried to blame the alarm, the other fixed it straight away and I have not had a problem since).
