But I don't remember my speedo moves in my EG and DC2 when I reverse my car. I only see my RSM indicating the speed. I'll try it later after work when I collect my car later.

Mates done it before. On a dc2r with i/h/e. Vtec DEFINATELY kicked in. Reverse gear gets pretty loud at those revs though.
