    Current EURO prices MARCH/APRIL 09

I went with my brother who wants to buy a Standard EURO manual.

What we were given was 38K drive away for black/manual. No Negotiations yet.

But Dang, since late MARCH there has been a price rise has! I know its due to the current state of the financial market but !@!#, We want our EURO!

Plus theres no stock we have to wait a month or 2.

Are we getting ripped in half or what? Saw a thread previously and and 33 - 34K drive away, has anyone bought one recently, like last week? or 2 weeks if so how low did u get the price down too?

The CTR has gone down. The new White CTR is 39990 drive away with LSD.

Negotiate. Once you are sitting down at the table and serious, start offering $33k and then work your way up until you either reach your limit or the salesperson gives in and sells it to you. If you exceed your limit, walk away and go to another dealer. The salesperson will usually give in at the end when you are walking out.

I wouldn't be so stressed about waiting a month or two for your car if it is the one you want. I had to wait 4 and a half months for my Euro and don't regret it.

Just out of curiosity, do you guys pay for the Metallic and pearlescent paint ($395)?
    Is it worth it?

Negotiate based on the driveaway price, so they don't get a chance to put in these little "extras". Based on driveaway price, I paid $0 for pearlescent paint, mud flaps, floor mats, CTP, rego, dealer delivery and stamp duty.

As Aaron said negotiate on a car with NO accessories on it at all.The dealer margin on these options is huge.

If you have to wait 2 months it possibly means 08 stock is running low and they could be waiting for a shipment of 09 stock which would benefit your pocket long term.

So negotiate with no accessories and agree on a price, then ask them to throw in accessories? Won't they then have the excuse to increase on the agreed price?
