    well they type R is designed as a car u can drive on the street during the week and on the weekend take it straight onto a track with no problem. although it has to compensate for both road (bumpy) and track (smooth) the springs are quite firm for the track yet drives comfortably on the street.
    all in all its got great handling setup with a bit of oversteer which is fun in the corners and very sensative steering with little play, take one for a drive and u will understand

    the sussy is a bit too bumpy for my liking for street use but it surely handles well.

    never tracked the car so i don't know.

    for my case, i fail to see the reason to get coilovers other than look.
    GD3 -> EP3 -> RB3

    I bought my car with coils so cant comment much but I did test drive Dianne's facelift ep3 which was pretty good on Sydney roads except for certain parts of Hume highway.. If your planning to lower the Ep3 be warned your b-pipe will cop alot.

    In respects to being stock, they are very good. Being a Type R, you'd expect it to be on the firm side.

    I know of a EP3 with light mods do 1.15 laps around wakefield, drive on drive off.
