is redlining a car with a full exhaust and a silencer dangerous?

Hey guys, noob question, is it damaging my car in any way by running a dc4 with aftermarket headers/ 2 1/4 piping and a buddyclub spec II muffler/ axelback and redlining with a silencer it it?

I hear a really loud/gay ratteling sound like air is struggling to get out and don't know weather this effects anything??

the loud rattling is probably the silencer rattling around in the rear muffler/canon
probably won't do much on a honda
the stock pea-shooters probably the same if not smaller than the silencer's pipe anyway

Red lining is not the healthiest thing for any engine.

constant redlining will reduce the life of ur motor
take the silencer off and let the bc spec 2 be heard

redline is awesome i sit there for 3 to 4 minutes everyday everyone looks at me
funny but i do it anyway cause it sounds cool




lol nah, redlines bad for the motor just dont sit there bouncing off it, of course it will reduce life like 'rom5' mentioned
go near it try to shift jsut before it bounces lol

redlining with the silencer is just like having the stock exhaust system on there
choking it...

its effecting your performance and makes you sound like a excel

i hit my redline once a week or so for the fun of it. 7200 red line 7500 fuel cut but i manage sometimes to get it to 8000 in second sometimes, not on purpose. the up rev is so fast i look down and its at 8000

i do not recommend redline on a regular basis!

yo its jerriel... did u buy the axle back? lol just run it liek that then take of the silencer... seriosuly the rattling is fromt he silencer , it makes it sound shitty and air--e--------

Stock tacho is quite inaccurate at high rpm. If your fuel cut is 7500, rest assured you won't exceed it without choosing first instead of third.

Oh and don't worry bout the redlining, only happens rarely, I granny shift at 2500 unless some fool pulls beside me in a SSS thinks he can beat me

Is there a vid of the bc on a gsi yet, if not im gonna make one its god damn loud

Oh and it came of an eg I think so the tip falls abit short of the bumper, like it sits underneath it, I hope it doesn't make that black burned kit look on my bumper

I don't have a full exhaust and silencer, but I redline my car (or atleast try to) for about 90 minutes total in 15/20 minute sessions on one day in a year. Sometimes I do it twice a year.

its as bad as having a fart 5" cannon exhaust system and redlining it
