doesnt matter which way iat plug is wired,its a thermistor(temp sensitive resistor) so polarity dont matter.
the other spare plug u found is prob the purge plug,see if u can see what pin the red wire goes to at ecu end to confirm.
not sure what obd2 will do with lack of purge solenoid hooked up,i assume it will CEL,but ecuman will know.

ok well i have it connected like informed but the engine light is comming up.. i thought it might have stayed due to disconnecting it in the first place but so i reset the s300 error codes it still keeps popping up and now eld is appearing too,,, how can i test the iat to see where i could have gone wrong
ok i have checked everything and i have found that the iat has shit itself.. theinside of the sensor has melted and the wires are showing and have burnt apart.. so now to find out where i can get one from....
