theres a difference. short ram isnt really a ram intake. its just a name given to a short intake. and technically a long ram isnt really a ram unless it has some sort of forward facing thing feeding pressure to it, otherwise its just a cold air intake

a ram intake has a forward facing opening creating positive pressure from the speed your going. a higher speed will create a higher pressure.

when you have a forward facing cavity on your car, the forward speed creates a pressure in there relative to how fast your going. a "ram" intake takes advantage of that.

i cbf working out how much gains from pressure you'd get from 100kph, so i dunno if it'll be worth it or not.
