lol. i think he figured out there is nothing wrong with the dc2r, vtec is supposed to kick in at 5+ not as soon as you hit the throttle.

Well, normally dont VTEC's activate at 5200rpm? until 5800rpm then the secondary runners will open up?

nah......
if ur dc2r is stock or still runnign stock ecu, vtec will activate at around the 5700, 5800, 5900 mark, depending on rev tachos and engine wear....
so as long as ur vtec comes on and stays on till redline, there is nothing wrong with the car....
just enjoy it.............................
the only time vtec will not engage, is if the water temp is not warm enough, and or if u have low oil level, which will cause not enough oil pressure to the vtec soliniod and not engage.....
p.s. please dont take ur car to hondatech in thomo again......................i wont say anymore than that...

hmm, i have a vtec on my shelf if you want it?

OKAY thanks bro,
dc2r is running stock ecu, just got full exhaust and pod.... maybe this is normal then.
But because I've got a ek with b18 and i can hear the vtec engage at 5200 and kicks in at 5800 til redline, its weird thats all
