Just lift up your left hand windscreen wiper & you will see the buil date stamped inside the windscreen.

Thanks for that! Just went and checked, and it says Aug 09, so now it will be interesting to see what Honda says about when the bug free ones rolled off the production line.

    Monza

Can you communicate in this forum off line, so you don't have to name it in a public arena?? I went to a Dealership for the 1000km service, close to where I work (not the one I bought the car from). There was a queue a mile long of people wanting to check in their cars, some guy waiting far to patiently to be dropped off at the station - so not a good level of their service.

Then after I picked up the car - I noticed later that the lining of the front bumper bar hadn't been realigned properly, and the wax hadn't been wiped off/buffed properly - so it looked all scratched. If it wasn't 5pm, I would have gone straight round to the dealership and had a go!

you should enjoy that drive Irving, I regard it as 1 of the better drivers roads in the country, just treat it with respect & hope there are not too many slow vehicles around. If you choose to avoid going to Newcastle, Stop at a tiny town called Bulga, just after you go through a section called the 10 mile. There is a small servo/restaurant on the left heading north. have a break there & do a U turn & go back the same way. Much more fun than the Freeway, & you can give the car a real workout.

Glad to hear your pinging issue has been resolved, but then again I have been saying all along that it would be sorted out.....no offense meant, although I could understand the frustration of non technical people.

Denot, there is absolutely nothing between Windsor & Singleton. It wouldn't be until you got to Maitland area that you would find decent Hotels & places to eat.
Bear in mind the Freeway entry is before you get to Newcastle proper.

Denot, my favorite part of the Putty Rd is a section called the 10 mile which finishes just south of Bulga, although it would depend on your driving skills, lack of other traffic & how hard you want to push it. As you have an Auto, i would leave it in sports mode through that section & use your paddles, personally I would only be using 2nd gear for 90% of that section of road. But in saying that, there are good sections of road all the way.

A 4 hour non stop run, just getting warmed up mate. it's 15 hours from here to Gosford

You can always do a search on you tube for putty road, that will give you an indication of what to expect

Does anybody know if the new software and knock sensor will be replaced on all CU2 as they come for service at the Honad dealers?

I bought a Euro Lux Navi in January this year (buid date Oct 08) and have been lucky enough not to hear any pinging in the 8,000Km that I have done so far. This being the case, I was wondering if I should ask for the software upgrade at the 10,000Km service.

Thanks in advance for your opinion

That is not necessarily the case Denot. I am not sure of HA's position on this or if it is the dealers choice. My dealer will be doing the whole update (software & knock sensor) for those who complain of the problem, otherwise all vehicles will get the software update alone as they come in for servicing.
