you are getting ripped of paying that.

you can do a drive in and out b18cr conversion for about 6.5 k.

and eg gli is quite easy to find for 3 k. you just have to be patient and look.

trust me , i know atleast 4 people who have done this under 10 k, or spot on 10k

you gotta look around for places that dont know honda or go to most workshops.

ofcourse traders on ozhonda are gonna sell for 7k, because this is were people come to look for the engine.

go to a import wrecker, you will find them to be around 5~6.

Try a place that specialises in selling engines like QMR.

They had a few H22's and B16's quite cheap last month when I was helping someone else out. Might have a B18 or 2 now.

honrat might not want an eg or ep3? might be an ek type of guy.
in that case honrat.. if you have 17k to spend it is quite worth the b18c7.. because if you want to do it yourself you need to find the engine.. then find all the extra parts to put in the engine then change the suspension then change the exhaust.. the list goes on mate on top of that if you cant install the engine yourself that will cost an extra k + to install
but always ask for a lower price and see what you can get worth a try dont be scared.. tip: use any flaws on the cars.. dints eg to bargain down =D

lots of people get ek9s registered as ek1s for less of the problem.
if its a guenine ek9 for 17k thats cheap.
