any know much about taxes when u purchase something from overseas ?? im looking at buying mono flex tein's but im wondering what extra would i pay when it arrives here. Im totally clueless :S i know there is customs but im not sure how they work out the payments etc

What parts are you after if your after second hand parts buy Option Magazine I think that's what's called from the local newsagency than search from there. If your after new parts there will be a few weeks wait depending on the shop. Try Mong Kok shops but most of them have moved.

When i tried mong kok shops they normally sell stuff like broadway mirrors, perfumes, stickers, leds, neons, sound systems, etc. was even looking for branded lug nuts and couldn't find any shops with them. i think there was one shop that had some suspension, wheels etc, that one had a veilside rx7 FD.

i heard most of the good car shops are quite far away, and need to drive to get there...

as long as the item is not over 1000 aud, u wont be charged anything
for this u can negotiate with ur broker, but last time when i got the mono flex for someone cuz i got that for just 6XXXX yen so no problem at all anyway

well thats what im thinking of getting is the mono flex shipped over but im weighing up my options and 1 of them is getting it shipped. I think they will charge me cause its definately way over 1000 aud

r u looking at buying brand new? but anyway u can negotiate with the seller, just let them to put a lower value on the tags...
