    Eg Help

    hey guys, helping my brother fix his Civic

    He has a D16A8 engine DOHC, we cant seem to find any extractors..only seem to fins D16 SOHC ones.
    i rang some exhaust place and he told me, my models has never ever came out with DOHC,
    is this true or has someone replaced to the top part of the engine.

    and theres no Cat

    is that normal? i was told is is illegal not to have one, but its had afew RWC done and passed.

    any info/help would be great thanks

    the EG Si is DOHC D16A8

    No cat isn't normal, some one has removed it.

    hey mate i dont get what your trying to say
    (EG5 eg si) came out D16a8 Dohc non-vtec,
    if your looking for some extractors, ive got some d series extractors
    just give me a pm

    there is 2 DOHC EG models came out. Si and SiR.

    without cat can get fine up to $10 000 in WA.
    they didnt realise during the examine doesnt mean it was ok.

    If this is what you were looking at, it mentions "will fit all d16 blocks" just email them and ask if it fits d16a8(dohc)

    match your current D16A8 exhaust manifold gasket up with the others your looking at, you'll know that way

    Any D-series headers will fit fine. The ports are spaced the same as SOHC D-series engines.

    just to let you know, pro-torque list different part number for for d16a8 and d15b7.

    I don't see the point in going with a new set of stock headers - D16 stock headers are quite restrictive and with very basic aftermarket ones (yes, even from egay) you'll still free up a lot of flow.

    A guy on crxaustralia is selling a set of JDM HKS headers for $350. They're 2" and would go nicely. Otherwise just get a $150-200 from somewhere I'm sure you'll be better off
