I noticed the clutch friction point is higher than most vehicles I have driven. I actually stalled it EPICLY out of the driveway when test driving. I've also found that the little Honda engine responds better to a bit of revving, especially on a slight hill situation. My dad likens it to his work vans. If I apply a slight amount of accelerator as I engage 1st, I have found that it will get going a lot smoother and easier. Everyone drives a manual their own way, but my best advice is that if all else fails, floor the clutch so the engine doesn't stall, you can always try again that way. Also the brake/hand-brake on a hill start, don't wanna damage that Mercedes behind you!

On another issue, the service record before last, 165000, says mine got its oil replaced, however I am beginning to believe that the guy got ripped by his mechanic, the oil looks to me, someone that watched dad open the bonnet of a commodore all his life, as if its a few years old... unless 8000k is about time for new oil? Car seems to run fine but its a concern I would like some peace of mind with, so I am gonna get a new oil filter and some good oil for her next time I am out with my father.

I need to find a bolt for the front bumper too, the two that are directly under the front, one is missing completely. It doesn't effect it but it annoys me all the same haha.

OH and I polished up the paint, hard yakka, but well worth it, the fading looks so much better, the only real noticeable bit is the top of the rear bumper. But it now has an even shininess to it, which in sunlight actually masks the fading quite well also removed all but the deep marks in the paint, some panels look like new!

I am definitely getting a new stereo and wheels with my next pay, I can't stand the wheel-barrow wheels it has on it! I slid on a roundabout the other day!

EDIT: I replaced my headlight bulbs with Narva Blue/Arctic (can't remember) that my dad had spare in the garage, we use them in the commodore and they give off a satisfying amount of white light for me.
