What is one shade darker than legal 30%?
I have one shade darker than legal around the sides.
And two shades darker on the Rear I have had no problem at all, tempted to go darker on the sides however.

I have 18% all round and had no problems at all. Very nice and just right.
Its hard for people to look inside the unless they come up close.

Anything lower than the 35% light transmission number voids comprehensive car insurance, is illegal, unroadworthy and can be fined.

Well that's what I've been doing for the last 35 years...fixing others crappy installations.

Rob.
Hey Rob,
I was wondering which would block more of the burning sun (just say which one would you feel burning your skin more ) the blue tint you mentioned from Suntek or a 35% normal tint from Suntek or whatever brand ..
I like the blue but I dont want to burn..
pretty much what would it be in comparison to.. 50% tint, 35%, 20% etc..
Thanks,
Ash

Hi Ash,
Depends on whether the car has a built in radio antenna in the rear screen.
But aside from that, it would be very hard to go past the Madico ONYX 35% high performance aluminium film....it has the best heat rejection given all things equal with light transmission.
All the info on it is on my website.
Regards,
Rob.

Thx Rob,
Well I am picking up my new car on Thurs, but I dont remember if the antenna is in the rear screen.. What diffrence would it make apart from looks wise..
On my previous car I had suntek 35% tint would the blue tint from suntek be the same in protection? or was my 35% better in my previous car?

The Madico ONYX would be superior by far and because of its "true Black" feature, won't change your colour perception when you look out through your glass....the blue does make things very unnatural and peculiar.
I wouldn't have it unless it's some show car not driven as a daily drive.

Rob.
