would ED9 be different to a EF8? i just got a RYCO MF5 n tried to change it but couldnt get the bolts back in.. it seems the bolts are too big for the RYCO filter.. any other EF8 owners know what part number to use?

Just a tip as well, if you've got access to slare nut spanners, use them. Lets you get a better hold of the nuts on the lines and doesn't round them off like spanners can.

Might not be applicable to this model, but EG/DC have the fuel input going into the base of the filter and its a flare nut setup. You can do it with spanners but you risk ruining the nut on the line.

    ED9 CRX would have a D16A8/9 engine

    EF8 has the B16A1 ??

I have a feeling it may be a Z393 or Z359 - for the Ryco brand

anyway good write-up. I gotta change mine soon also
pretty sure you're thinking of Zoolander, the part where his mates are in a petrol station having a petrol fight then one lights a fag up.

yeh but the chassis is essentially the same..sorry guys for the false alarm.. i tried it again, its abit tight up the top, but once you get past that.. the rest goes in smooth. i just didnt want to thread it but after a few calls to other EF boys.. they asured me the MF-5 was the one.

Another handy hint is to remove the fuel cap - if its a hot day, the pressure actually inside the tank will force fuel to weep out while your doing this, crack the cap and voila!
