Generally only '99 & '00 were the oil guzzlers. But not all. Honda did do a recall to all S2000 owners that had high oil consumption. Obviously not all went back. My previous S2K easily went through a litre plus every 1000 km's. But generally F20C do chew oil....... They do rev to 9. Can't have everything.
What you mean 98 octane chewed it? you should always use 98 Octane. Shell helix used heaps of oil but castrol edge 5-30 seems pretty good but keep an eye on it. check radiator overflow for black sludge if your have lots of oil usage then you have problems
i've used oem, royal purple 5-30, nulon 5-30..
i say go with royal purple.. its.. so.. nice.. and smmmooottthh.. and warms up so quickly.... but if its too much, try nulon..
a friend of a friend lol.. had a oil test day + dyno, apparently had some better gains with nulon oil, so i gave it a try.. feels pretty good.. i duno about gains but definately worth a try
nulon is a good australian product that uses a 'castrol base' to create their product once they have finished adding all their own additives and stuff. i use it regulary on cars at work and even after 10,000km of day to day driving, the nulon oil looks alot cleaner than what ive seen come out of some other cars using different brands
