    V-manage + E-manage

Before you flame point to note, if the car doesnt sell it doesnt sell!

Anyway, I am looking at advancing the VTC.
Now, I'm already running E-manage ultimate and runs fine with the IHE, but the limitations on it is you cannot tune VTC.

So apart from the V-manage unit, what would I need to get a 45 degree max VTC.

Selling the emanage ultimate and buying a new standalone is the best solution but not the cheapest as tuning would be very expensive...

Had a look around on K29 org etc, cant really find much info...

    Hondata + tune = 3000 ish
    vmanage + existing emu + tune = 1500 ish
so basically standalone ecu is out of the question unless I can sell my emu

Really dont need to lower the vtec point... based on the weight of the car, lowering the vtec point may prove to go against what i'm seeking to do.
increasing the VTC angle you will see massive torque gains which is lacking in the euro.

Haltech does the same thing as the Emanage Ultimate.

To get 45VTC firstly you'll need to get your stock Euro's 25VTC gear machined out. Or take your chances of getting piston-to-valve contact and run a K20A's 50VTC.

The weight of the car has nothing to do with when you'd set VTEC engagement... You'd tune a K24 in a gutted EG the exact same as you'd tune a K24 in a Euro. Ideally for a K24, especially one with stock cams and 25VTC you want VTEC to engage at around 4000-4200rpm.

Your best bet would be to tough it out and save for a full stand alone such as K-Pro of a Vipec V88 (like what Chris F was using). An E-man and V-man together still won't make as much power as a proper stand alone, just because of the limitations in the tuning.

hrmmm... interesting... reading up on yonas's build on his egk24.
he's got the K20A's 50VTC but limiting it 45 max with the ECU...
K-pro would be nice or the Vipec...

i have asked for Vipec V44, about $2000 parts + tune (depands on the labour hours). i think is cheaper than k-pro, if you don't have turbo or surper charge, tunning won't take too long to do. I don't understand why ppl using V88 instead of V44. I think wasting money to have v88 for 4 cylinders twin cams engine. correct me if i am wrong.

Do Vipec sell a harness to fit that into the Euro? If not you're looking at a lot more money to get it into the Euro
