do u realise a distinct crossover in sound when hitting the vtec mark
    5500rpm?
take a few snaps of the engine bay to show us.
at worst, maybe its the engine if vtec does exist in that car

Why would you expect to hear vtec?
Its only the engine changing cam lobes, and there is not necessarily any different noise. I certainly don't hear anything much different until I get above 6000 rpm, and the vtec change was back at 4400 rpm.

If you really want to make sure, put a small indicator light across the vtec solenoid to show when the solenoid kicks in. You need a direct monitor on the working parts, and not your ears or butt-dyno.

    Yep same shit.
You don't hear the cross over in VTiR motors as much compared to the b16a\b18c7

In Luke's (webby_roller) b18c2,I can feel it slightly when Vtec hits BUT it 'Kicks' at 6,800rpm when the seconday's kick in.

I think the 'secondary's' is something to do with the Intake Manifold design?

    Yeah it's noice!

When he gets the cams and tuned with Hondata,it should be a bit more aggressive too!

Can't believe he only paid $4000 for it! Best score EVA!

    The gearbox feels incredible,like new!!
