    type r speakers into type s

    Hey guys,

    Just wondering has anyone installed the Alpine type r speakers 6"5' into an integra type s front speakerss or does anyone know how to because i am having troubles

    the type r speakers have too much depth and it sticks out too much so i dnt think i can put the door panel back on??

    probably have to put in a spacer, grab a dremel and then grind down the plastic on the door trim.
    front doors on the dc5r have little depth which limits what you can put in without some modification. good luck

    muster up some ingenuity and have a go at your own custom work into making them fit nicely.

    if you researched you would of known the Type R speakers would be a hassle to fit.

    You might be better off putting them into the rear speakers.
